Almetta's Story

Mrs. Almetta Jo Hamilton Olds, 82, of Richmond, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Compassionate Care Center.
Mrs. Olds, the daughter of the late James Hamilton and Lucille Pauline Agee Hamilton, was born in Madison County on April 3, 1935. She was a retired real estate agent having worked for Don Foster and Associates, Tom Harper Realty and Century 21. She was member of the Madison County Board of Realtors and attended The Vineyard Church.
On December 22, 1951, she united in marriage to Walter Phelps Olds who preceded her in death on June 27, 2013.
Mrs. Olds is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Stuart K. and Patricia Olds; her daughter and son-in-law: Reyne and Bill Johnson, all of Richmond; one brother: Ricky Hamilton; three grandchildren: Brad Johnson, Chris Johnson and Ashley Neff; her great grandson: Kade Johnson; two sisters-in-law: Shirley Stephens and Bettie Olds and many close friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Janice Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jake Adkins, Charles Hamilton, Joe Robertson, Tom Harper, Brad Johnson, Kade Johnson, Greg Stephens and Billy Hacker.
