Ann's Story

Mrs. Ann Thomas Zeysing Parke, 66, widow of Mr. Jonah Cecil "J.C. Parks" Parke, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
She was born in Georgetown, Ky., on October 11, 1950, to the late Craig Barkley and Helen Marshall Zeysing. Mrs. Parke was a 1968 graduate from Cardome, and attended Eastern Kentucky University, where she studied nursing. She was the retired co-owner of Parks Body Shop. She enjoyed reading, dancing, movies, traveling, water aerobics and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, as well as a volunteer with Hospice. Mrs. Parke was a member of the Madison Hills Christian Church.
She is survived by: two sons, Chris Parke (Laura) and Gary Parke (Danette); three grandchildren, Cole Parke, Ashley Parke, and Luke Parke; one step-grandson, Brandon Doering; one brother, Herb Zeysing (Debi); one niece Amanda Blevins (Nick); as well as many extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, 328 W. Main St, Richmond, with Bro. Marty Frazer officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
