Barbara Ann's Story
Barbara Ann Agee Campbell, 75, of Richmond, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond.
Born also on September 2, 1942, in Richmond, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Robert and Amy Marie Land Agee, both of whom preceded her in death. She was the widow of Billy Gene Campbell, and a retired Deputy Circuit Court Clerk in Madison County with 25 years of service. Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Owsley Fork Baptist Church and a Kentucky Colonel. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband and as a great cook, she enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. Mrs. Campbell treasured her cat, "Patches", but the love of her life was her family.
Survivors include two sons, Billy D. Campbell and Christopher A. Campbell; one daughter, Jennifer Ann Campbell Parker (Gary), all of Richmond; and one sister, Carol Agee Barrier (Gene) of Berea. She also leaves four grandchildren, Amy Michelle Campbell Brummett of Lexington, Lindsey Rae Barnett of Berea, Mariah Ann Campbell Winstead of Richmond, and Christopher Dylan Campbell of Berea, as well as four nephews, James Barrier (Tammy), Kendall Coffey (Jewell), Ed Coffey (Sandy) and Doug Coffey (Loretta).
Funeral service for Mrs. Campbell will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Bro. Kenneth Wilder officiating. Burial will follow at the Richmond Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Scott Barnthouse, Sammy Agee, Dylan Campbell, Kendall Coffey, Wayne Stephens, and Donald Winstead. Mrs. Campbell's cousins will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 - 9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to the Hospice Compassionate Care Center, 350 Isaacs Lane, Richmond, KY 40475.
