Mrs. Barbara Joyce Lear Hiatt, 76, of Richmond, passed away Monday, April 10, 2017.
Mrs. Hiatt, the daughter of the late James Lear and Nellie Lawson Lear, was born in Madison County on October 5, 1940. She enjoyed her flowers and birds but loved her grandchildren most of all.
On June 15, 1957, she was united in marriage to James Cleveland Hiatt who preceded her in death on September 4, 1998.
Survivors include: three sons, Jesse Hiatt and Glenna Stanton of Richmond, James Hiatt, Jr. of Richmond and Russell Hiatt and Cynthia of Waco; her daughter, Barbara Ann Kaylor and Kevin of Richmond; two brothers, Bill Lear and Rosie and Ronnie Dale Lear and Barbara; her sister, Faye Tester and Bill; two sisters-in-law, Betty Lear and Juanita Lear; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hiatt was also preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Douglas Hiatt, and other brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2017, at Combs, Parsons & Collins with Bro. Bradley Johns officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison Co. Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be J. D. Hutchens, Dillon Hutchens, Jesse Wayne Hiatt, Jr., Wayne Barnes, Tommy Barnes, Bill Bowles, Joe Lawson and Billy Lamb.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jesse Lawrence Hiatt, Travis Kaylor, Paul Cameron and Kevin Kaylor. www.cpcfh.com
