Betsy Hacker Ponder Betsy Hacker Ponder, 71, passed away on Saturday morning, March 9, 2019 at Baptist Health- Richmond.

Betsy was born on January 23, 1948 in Richmond and was the daughter of Elizabeth Anderson Hacker and the late William Hacker. She was a retired teacher with the Madison County School System. She was a member of Waco Baptist Church and attended Anchor Baptist Church. Betsy enjoyed Gardening and taking care of her flowers, cooking and beach vacations.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by: her husband, Ted Ponder, of Richmond; two daughters, Lori Eve (Scott), of Lexington, and Denise Ponder (Ryan), of Richmond; and one sister, Linda Hammons, of Richmond, as well as her buddy and companion, her cat Susie.

Funeral services for Betsy Ponder will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Sowders officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be: Michael Mitchell, Michael Fulton, Scott Eve, Ryan Donithan, Bill Clouse and Marlin Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be Kermit Bowling, Mack Davenport, Mike Howard and Willard Reardon

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Humane Society.
