Betty Jo Myers, 94, the widow of Thomas E. (TE) Myers, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Baptist Health in Richmond.
Betty was born November 20, 1922, in Eagle Pass, Texas, to the late Charles E. and Emma H. Fulwiler. Betty retired from the Department of Military Science at EKU where she served as an administrative assistant supporting the EKU R.O.T.C. program. She was a member of the Richmond Church of Christ since 1952.
Betty is survived by: a daughter, Cynthia Myers Casey of Birmingham, Ala.; a son, Thomas E. (Holly) Myers, III of Valrico, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Reba Myers of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren, Michael Allen (Jessica) Casey Jr., Bradley Thomas Myers and Brett Wilson Myers; as well as two great-grandchildren, Michael Allen Casey III and Fred Thomas Casey.
Funeral service for Betty will be held at noon Friday, May 12, 2017, at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Jack Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael A. Casey, Jr., Bradley T. Myers, Brett W. Myers, Dwight McMullin, Millard Middleton, Ron Murray and Doug Vescio. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lisa Murray, Jo Abanatha, Dolly Lynch, Lena Black, Carole Hall, Carol Lawson, Charm Todd, Hannah Gentry, Carolyn Middleton, Gwen McChesney, and Al and Doris Morris.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 12 noon on Friday, May 12, 2017, at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
