Brent A. Ray

On Friday, March 29, 2019, Brent Ray, age 43, loving husband and father passed away suddenly after arrival at Baptist Health Richmond.
Brent was born on July 7, 1975, in Richmond, Kentucky. He was the son of Daniel and Ida Sue (Tracy) Tribble of Richmond. Brent was the owner of 1st Call Restoration. He began his contracting career over two decades ago, following in his father's footsteps. On August 9, 1997, he married Chastity Leigh Collins.
Brent used his strong vision, creativity, and attention to detail to please everyone he served, both professionally and personally. His servant's heart was felt by many. Helping others on their journey through life was just one of his many admirable qualities.
He was a humble, family man who lived his faith and love for God in all ways, every day. Brent was intentional about being a role-model to his children and others, and did so effortlessly. He exuded love for his wife and boys; never missing their ballgames or activities. He was an avid hunter and active member of Eastside Community Church where he took advantage of every opportunity to give his heart.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his loving wife, Chastity and their sons, Braeden and Landon, all of Richmond; three sisters, Ashley Cimala (Derek) of Richmond, Terry Gardner and Tammy Farris, both of Louisville; one brother, Tim Ray (Bronwyn) of Richmond; his aunt and uncle, Ann and Richard Blum, and his mother-in-law, Nadine Morris Collins, all of Richmond.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 1, 2019, from 3 - 9 P.M. at Eastside Community Church. The funeral will take place 11:00 A.M. , Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at the church with Dr. Virgil Grant officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Derek Cimala, Allen Grant, Jr., John Congleton, Alan Perkins, Jerry "J.J." Brandenburg, Henry Brandenburg, Nathan Blum, Tim Ray, and Timmy Grant. Members of the Tuesday Night Men's Group at Eastside Community Church, Luke Coleman, Zachary McKenzie, and Zach Holbrook will serve as honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Eastside Community Church Building Fund, 2010 Catalpa Loop Road, Richmond, KY 40475
