Charles's Story

Charles Chuck Romans, 64, of Fayetteville, NC passed away at his home on 11/10/17. He was born on 7/31/53 in Lexington, KY to the late Herbert and Gladys Williams Romans.

Chuck left behind his wife Cynthia, who held his heart for 36 years. Hes also survived by his daughter Monica (Mike) Payton, son Charles Christopher (Kershawna) Romans, grandchildren Nicolas, Oliva, Ethan and Destiny, his sister Judy (Michael) Moren, brother Gerald (Lena) Romans and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Wanda (Michael) Sullivan and nephew Ronnie Wells.

Chuck was proud to have served his Country in the US Army, loved any type of sport and would go fishing with anyone that would get in the boat.
As his health declined, he found his true calling as Santa for the Town of Hope Mills. When he put on his red suit there was no mistaking who he actually was. He would get a sparkle in his eyes, a deep belly laugh and spread joy to any life he touched.

Even though hed lived in NC over 20 years he was still part of the Big Blue Nation and wanted to be laid to rest in his beloved Wildcat country.

Services celebrating his life will be held on 11/17/17 at Oldham, Roberts and Powell in Richmond, KY with visitation from 12:00p-2:00p, service at 2:00pm and burial immediately after at Madison Co. Memorial Gardens.
