Charlie A. Sweet


Charlie Sweet, 51, and formerly of Richmond, passed away recently in Somerset, KY.

Charlie was born in Tallahassee, FL, on 17 September 1967, and was the son of Dr. Charles A. Sweet of Richmond and Linda Holden of Vancleave, MS. Charlie was residing at Oakwood, where he worked in their greenhouse and Bluegrass Expressions. He enjoyed listening to classic rock CD's, going out to eat, and driving John Deere lawn tractors.

Survivors include Debbie Sweet (his stepmother), Doug Holden (his stepfather); two sisters, Robyn Hoffman of Lexington, KY and Kristin Taylor of Pascagoula, MS; one brother, Roberts Sweet of Lexington, KY; as well as numerous nieces (Hayley, Lauren, Caroline, and Jordyn) and nephews (Griffin and Michael).

A private graveside service will be held at the Richmond Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made either to the Kentucky Special Olympics or Lake Cumberland Hospice.
