Mrs. Connie Sue Johnson Rice, 72, of Berea, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Compassionate Care Center.
Mrs. Rice, the daughter of the late Berry Johnson and China Wade Johnson, was born in Madison County on April 22, 1944. She worked as a beautician for many years and also managed Kinko's in the Richmond Mall. Known for her wit, she loved to make people laugh and she loved animals of all kinds. She was a member of Cane Run Station Cowboy Church.
On November 3, 1971, Mrs. Rice was united in marriage to Dale Woolford Rice who preceded her in death on November 27, 2015.
She is survived by: son, Dwight Lawson and wife Kim of Richmond; step-daughter, Belinda Rice; grandson, Shon White; great granddaughter, Victoria White; nieces, close friends, The DeSloover Family and grandpup, Fiona.
Mrs. Rice was preceded in death by her brother, Jackie Johnson.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
