Craig's Story

Text size

Craig O'Neal Black, 48, passed away at Baptist Health Richmond on Thursday, June 1, 2017. Craig was born in Richmond, on June 5, 1968, the youngest child of Walter Perry Black and Mary Barr White Black, both who preceded him in death.
Craig joined St. Paul A.M.E. Church as a young child. He attended Madison High School where he was a member of the band and played sports. At the time of his death, he was an employee of Eastern Kentucky University, where he worked in the Department of Custodial Services.
Craig, known by many as "Speed Buggy," was an outgoing person, a giving person, and he made friends easily. He always had a smile on his face and he loved a good joke every now and then. Craig will be remembered for his pleasant personality and his ability to make one laugh. Craig will be hard to forget because he gave us so much to remember.
Craig is survived by: his daughter, Olivia Black, and Olivia's mother, Rachel Cottrell; sisters, Karla (Fred) Willis and Mary J. Black; brother, Perry (Annie) Black; uncle, Charles C. White; nephews, Avery and Cameron Willis; and many special cousins and many special friends.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2017, at St. Paul A.M.E. Church. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time.
Arrangements entrusted to Keith P. Clark & Son Funeral Home, Winchester.
