Bro. Danny Burnom Baker, 65, of Dreyfus, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Compassionate Care Center.
Bro. Danny, the son of the late Burnom Baker and Gladys Hunter Baker, was born in Madison County on February 1, 1952. He had worked as an auto mechanic painter and enjoyed looking at old cars. Since 1996, he served as Assistant Pastor at the Richmond House of Prayer. He loved his church and serving in that capacity.
On September 29, 1994, he was united in marriage to Donna Sue Scenters Baker who survives.
Bro. Danny is also survived by: two sons, Daniel Baker and wife Ashley of Berea and Timothy Coffey and Rebecca of Lancaster; two daughters, Marilyn Baker of Richmond and Alisya Shouse and husband Tim of Berea; his brother, Mitchell Baker; four sisters, Paulette Gilliam and husband Gene, Kay Evans and William, Myrna Hehr and husband Wally and Ruth Felty; ten grandchildren, Brandon Coffey, Amber Locker, Abbie Rippeon, Chevy Coffey, Brayden Baker, Eil Coffey, Ava Baker, T. J. Shouse and wife Tasha, Austin Isaacs and wife Racheal and Eli Ratliff and a number of great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Baker and Noland Baker, and two sisters, Carolyn Bradley and Donna Gabbard.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Richmond House of Prayer, Mule Shed Ln, Richmond, with Bro. Owen S. Moody and Bro. Clyde Wimmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Bark Road Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Baker, Bobby Powell, Clifford Rose, Tommy Ballard, Brian Webb and Dalton Moody.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Hazel Ramsey, Mitch Locker, Edna Banks, Owen Howard and the entire Richmond House of Prayer Church Family.
