Deamie Sanders Taylor, 75, of Poosey Ridge, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016.
Deamie was born August 10, 1941, the son of the late Edward and Etta Faye Sanders Taylor.
A graduate of Madison Central High School, he received a B.A. in history from Eastern Kentucky University. He assisted his parents in the operation of their family farm, avidly studied history, enjoyed discussing politics and was very patriotic. He was an ardent reader who was very devoted to Bible study.
Deamie was a long time member of the Salem Christian Church where he enjoyed Sunday School and teaching Vacation Bible School. In recent years, as a resident of Morning Pointe, he attended Red House Baptist Church.
Survivors include: cousins, Ann Ross Anderson, Robbie Taylor, John E. Broaddus, Earl T. Broaddus, Robert B. Broaddus and Greta Whitaker.
Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Johny Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Palbearers will be Randall Winkler, Randall Winkler Jr., Joe Reynolds, John Broaddus, Earl Broaddus and Robert Broaddus.
