Mrs. Dollie Agnes Ritchie Johnson, 81, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Baptist Health - Richmond.
Mrs. Johnson, the daughter of the late Beckham Ritchie and Lois Sexton Ritchie, was born in Garrard County on March 18, 1936. Earlier in life, she had served in nursing homes as an aide. Her home church was Beattyville Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and sang with the "Corner Bunch." Her primary joy was being a grandmother to all of her family.
In October 1979, she united in marriage to Willard Johnson who preceded her in death in 1999.
She is survived by: three sons, Rick Johnson and his wife Sheri of Cumberland Creek, Tenn., Doug Johnson and his wife Angel of Richmond and Randy Johnson and wife Lisa of Waco; her daughter, Deborah Ashcraft and husband James of Waco; two brothers, Kel Ritchie and his wife Daisy and Danny Ritchie; one sister, Esther Combs; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by: two sons, Terry and David Johnson; four brothers, Leslie, Corbett, Dale and Roger Ritchie; her sisters, Ruby Harris and Bessie Ritchie; and her great-granddaughter Emily Jane Ashcraft.
Funeral service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with her grandson Rev. James E. "Jimmy" Ashcraft officiating. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
