Donald Lee Hart, 70, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond.

Born September 26, 1947, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Robert and Ima Jean Pritchett Hart, both of whom preceded him in death. Don was a retired Okonite employee and of the Protestant faith. He was known as The Quilt Guy, as he had painted the quilts that cover many Madison County barns.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Ellen Hart; one daughter, Elizabeth Hart Campbell (Charles Stephen); granddaughter, Carrie Elizabeth Campbell, all of Richmond; one sister, Marla Jean Hood, of Walton, KY; 14 nieces & nephews and 16 great nieces & great nephews.

A celebration of life for Don will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Jimmy Marcum presiding. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Hobbs Cemetery at Big Stone Gap, Virginia.
