Dora's Story

Dora B. Gadd, 92, of Richmond, the widow of Lloyd Franklin Gadd, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Baptist Health - Richmond.
She was born March 23, 1924, at Big Hill, Kentucky, to Bradley D. and Lillie Hunter Baker, both of whom preceded her in death. Ms. Gadd was a retired florist for Allens Flower Shop in Berea and of the Baptist faith. She was a great cook and enjoyed traveling, fishing, and gardening, but most of all her grandchildren.
Survivors include: one daughter, Cheryl Gadd of Richmond; one son, Lloyd "Buck" Gadd Jr. (Linda) of Cynthiana; one sister, Sarah "Tootsie" Munn; three grandchildren, Monica Chandora Bucher (Chris), Natalie Ann Berryman and Paula Rochelle Pearson; three great-grandchildren, Darica Coates (Ryan), Danielle Chasteen and Kannon Berryman; one great-great grandson, Easton Carter Coates; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Abrams, and two brothers, I. A. Baker and Bradley Baker Jr., and an infant brother, John Baker.
Funeral service for Ms. Gadd will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2017, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Bro. Rodger Baker, her nephew, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Billy Abrams, Chris Bucher, Ryan Coates, Russell Abrams, Russell Victor Abrams, and Justin Abrams.
