Edna Lou Edwards, 82, of Richmond, widow of James Cecil Edwards, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017, at her home.
She was born on December 23, 1934, the daughter of James Caperton and Carleen Ford McKinney. She was a graduate of Madison High School and a faithful member of Speedwell Christian Church. She was a retired employee of Westinghouse/Phillips Lighting. Edna was a homemaker, who loved cooking and taking care of her family and her home.
Survivors include: her son, Doug Edwards (Carol); her daughter, Connie Clark (Bill); grandchildren, Shane Edwards (Paula), Matthew Edwards (Amanda Ritchey) and Whitney Edwards (Corey Gentry); step-grandchildren, Josh Clark (Cori), Baylee Alexander and Cameron Alexander; and a great-grandchild, Aniyah Gentry.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Edwards, and a step-grandchild, Justin Alexander.
Funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Pasley officiating. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Edwards, Shane Edwards, Doug Edwards, Bill Clark, Dale Edwards and John Maupin.
