Eleanor's Story

Eleanor Louise Miller Wearren, widow of Sylvester Wearren, died on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at the Baptist Health Hospital-Richmond.
She was born March 22, 1933 in Richmond, to Talbert and Vivian Smith Miller, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a teacher in the Madison County School system for many years and was a member of the St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Richmond.  
Survivors include: two sons, Daryl Mitchell of Richmond, and Duncan Eric Hackett of Richmond; a grandson, Daryl Jamar Mitchell of Louisville; two step-sons, Buster and Ronnie Wearren; two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Other than her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Gloria, Fay, Talberta and Ruth, as well as one brother George Miller
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at the St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Richmond.  Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church.  
The Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
