Elizabeth's Story

Elizabeth Roe Bucher, 96, passed away Tuesday evening, December 26, 2017, at The Terrace in Berea.
Mrs. Bucher was born on April 18, 1921, in Madison County, the daughter of the late Eligah and Ethel Winkler Roe. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a member of The Stoney Run Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter: Betty Rison (Tim); four grandchildren: Steven Douglas Bucher, Shannon David Bucher (Christina), Stacy Dawn Bucher and Heather Rae Bowlin; six great-grandchildren: Jacob Bucher, Ethan Bucher, Rhianna Bowlin, Kannon Davis, Sophia Davis and Adelyn Davis; one sister: Hazel Combs; her daughter-in-law: Juanita Bucher and a sister-in-law: Helen Roe as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son: Alvin Douglas Bucher; two sisters: Mary Belle Snapp and Evelyn Scott and five brothers: Ernest, Farris, Willie, Frank and Eligha Roe Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Guiley and Bro. Bradley Johns officiating. Burial will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Friday evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Steve Bucher, Shannon Bucher, Jimmy Fritz, Jonathon Fritz, Joey Fritz, Larry Roe, Mike Scott and Jacob Bucher.
