Elizabeth Ann Smyth Elizabeth Ann Smyth, 78, the widow of Hershell Dean Smyth, of Richmond, passed away early Thursday, January 3, 2019 at her home.

She was born in Madison County on September 25, 1940, to Raymond and Ethel (McHone) Settle, both of whom preceded her in death. Elizabeth was a homemaker and of the Holiness faith.

In addition to her parents and husband, Hershell, she was preceded in death by one son, Mike Smyth, one brother, Howard Settle, and one half-sister, Lucille Barrett.

Survivors include three daughters, Sherry Wilson (Jeff) of Irvine, LaVinda Isaacs (Chris) of Jackson County, and Connie Lainhart (David) of Berea; two sons, Gerald Smyth (Sondra) of Kirksville, and Timothy Smyth (Tammy) of Bardstown; three sisters, Katherine King, Elsie Gross, and Nancy Landsaw; three brothers, Jimmy Settle, Ronnie Settle, and Paul Settle; one half-brother, Donald Burnell; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral service for Elizabeth will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Bro. Greg King officiating. Burial will follow at Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 9 PM Monday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell.

Pallbearers will be David Settle, Steve King, Jeff King, Gerald Smyth, Timothy Smyth, and Ronnie Gross.
