Estelle Ann Coldiron Gabbard, 91, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was the widow of Raymond Lee Gabbard who preceded her in death in 2011.
Estelle was born on September 2, 1926, in Madison County, and was the daughter of the late Taylor Coldiron and Pearl Winburn Coldiron Barnes. She was retired from Parker Seal where she worked as a bookkeeper, and she was a charter member of Unity Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Bonnie Steele (Clarence) and Peggy Comley (Durbin), both of Lexington; four grandchildren, Terry Royster (Richard), David Steele (Julie), Kim Snapp (Rob), and Jeff Holt; six great grandchildren, Jacob Royster, Maddie Royster, Allison Snapp, Will Snapp, Justin Steele, and Amanda Steele; two sisters, Mary Catherine Renie Allen, of Waco, and Vivian Moery (James), of Highland, Indiana; and special friends, John & Karen Prewitt, Lindsey Prewitt Arnold (Jason) and their son, Remington Arnold, Trey Prewitt, and Bill & Faye Gabbard.
Funeral services for Estelle Gabbard will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2017 at Unity Baptist Church with Dr. Dennis Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Madison County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Will Snapp, Clarence Steele, Bill Gabbard, Trey Prewitt, John Prewitt, and Jason Arnold. Durbin Comley will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Unity Baptist Church, 1290 Barnes Mill Road, Richmond, KY 40475 or to the American Cancer Society.
