Etta Elizabeth Lamb Garrett, 76, of Richmond, passed away early Thursday, March 23, 2017, at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond.
She was born April 13, 1940, in Madison County to the late Millard and Cynthia M. Isaacs Lamb. Mrs. Garrett was a homemaker and former employee of Central Kentucky Processing. She was a member of White Hall Holiness Church of Richmond.
Survivors include: her husband, Silas Moore Garrett of Richmond; two sons, Silas Dewayne Garrett (Teresa) of Richmond and Eric Jayson Garrett (Julie) of Florence; three daughters, Brenda Carol Ramey of Richmond, Donna Elaine Ballinger (Gerald) of Carrollton, Ky., and Cynthia Lenetta Cochran (Terry Ray) of Russell Springs; one sister, Esther Bowman of Big Hill, Ky., and one brother J. B. Lamb of Hamilton, Ohio; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild and two great-grandsons on the way.
Also preceding her in death were four brothers, Alvin, Willard, Vernon, and Vincent Lamb, and four sisters, Grace Lamb Abrams, Lola Lamb Pennington, Mary Eliza Lamb Lakes and Martha Lamb Baker.
Funeral service for Mrs. Garrett will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2017, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin Evans and Bro. Bill Lamb officiating. Burial will follow at Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Darryl, Danny, David, Donny and Darren Northern.
