Faye Carol Turpin Faye Carol Turpin died at Terrace Nursing Home after a lingering illness. She was born July, 28, 1929 to the late Carl Eli and Clara Mae Pearson who proceeded her in death. She lived most of her life in Madison County, and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by: two sons, Carl Brown Turpin (Elizabeth) and Chris Byron Turpin; three siblings, Beverly Pearson, Roberta Pearson, and Sally Congleton, all of Madison County. Her two grandchildren are Mary Leslie Parke Wells and Scott Parke. Great-grandchildren are Allison Rose Whittaker, Daryn Wells, and Annystin Kathleen Parke.
Faye Carol was preceded in death by one son, Craig Boain Turpin, and his wife Kathy. Also preceding her in death was one brother Gerald Wayne Pearson (Viola).
Faye Carol graduated from Kingston High School in 1947, where she was a cheerleader for 3 years, a band majorette to the marching band, under the direction of Ralph Rigsby. She was a member of the band, the science club, and The Future Homemakers of America.
In her younger years, she enjoyed long bike rides with friends, horseback riding, swimming, and bowling.
She graduated from the Eastern School of Hair Design in 1974. She was a hairdresser for a few years. She then had a Day Care Center in her home where she cared for eight small children. In later years she did private duty sitting for the Elderly.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, U.K. sports on television, flower gardening, traveling, and eating out with relatives and friends.
Faye Carol was a former member of Women Together For Christ and the Kit Carson Homemakers.
There will be no formal services.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
