H. R. "Pete"'s Story

H. R. Pete Harrison, 67, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at his home.

Pete was born on November 11, 1950 in Richmond and was the son of Hugh W. and Ella McQueen Harrison, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, and was of the Baptist faith. Pete was a former Kentucky State Trooper, an electrician, and an employee of Miller Storage & Properties. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and all other outdoor activities.

Survivors include: three brothers, Vernon Harrison (Carol), of Lakeland, FL, William L. Harrison (Judy), of Richmond, and Dr. Steven Harrison (Tammy), of Pikeville; one sister, Nita Schwab (John), of Fountain Hills, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jody Harrison.

Visitation will be from 5:00- 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell.

Funeral services for Pete Harrison will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Fort officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daryl Harrison, Danny Harrison, John Harrison, Scott Harrison, and Adam Harrison.
