Hellen's Story

Hellen Margaret Eversole Tackett Hamilton, 69, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 after arrival at Baptist Health Richmond.

Born December 26, 1947, at Drift, Kentucky in Floyd County, to Sam and Reba Campbell Eversole both of whom preceded her in death, and the widow of Tolvie Hamilton. Mrs. Hamilton was a Registered Nurse having served at the McDowell ARH in McDowell, Kentucky and a member of White Oak Pond Christian Church. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and she adored her grandchildren.

Survivors include her two daughters, Samantha Terry (Ronnie) of Richmond and Genia Hall (Marion Dews) of Lawrenceburg; three sisters, Gracie Gerken (Kenny) of McDowell, Opal Eversole of Pikeville, and Sylvia Wiley (Tom) of Lexington; grandchildren, Billy Hall (Samantha), Staci Hall (Justin), Lisa Dews (Avery), Siera Hall (Billy), Sierra Lewis, and Bailey Terry; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her brother Sam Eversole, Jr. and his wife Judy.

Funeral service for Mrs. Hamilton will be 11:30 AM Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at White Oak Pond Christian Church with Rev. Chad Snellgrove officiating. Visitation will be from 5 8 PM Tuesday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Cornett, Tom Wiley, Billy Hall, Justin Hall, Ronnie Terry, Jeremy Gerken, Daniel Gillespie, Michael Martin, and Bailey Terry.
