Mr. Henry Clay Masters, 91, of the Baldwin Community of Madison County, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at VA Hospital in Lexington.
Mr. Masters, the son of the late Walter Masters and Mary Eliza Isbell Masters, was born in Madison County on May 3, 1926. He was a farmer and former care taker of Watts Estate. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in World War II. Known as a great story teller, Mr. Masters was also a member of Bethel Christian Church.
On December 24, 1948, he united in marriage to Alma J. Moore Masters who survives.
Survivors also include his daughter: Evelyn Brumbaugh and husband Walter, of Richmond; four grandchildren: Mark Brumbaugh, Matt Brumbaugh, Bobby Crampton Jr. and wife Kelly and Jesse Crampton; six great grandchildren: Brett Crampton, Mason Crampton, Bobby Crampton III, Anna Lee Crampton, Justin Crampton and Caleb Crampton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Masters was also preceded in death by his daughter: Janet Crampton, his brother: Wallace "Diddle" Masters and sister, Bea Harvey.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Guiley and Bro. Dave Zuhars officiating.
Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Duane Masters, Dwight Masters, Greg Harvey, Armon Sanders, Joe Marshall Masters and Garnet Isbell.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Curt Bogie, Donald Short, Randall Webb and Marion Lane.
