Irene Singer Jordan, 97, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Baptist Health - Richmond.
Born February 3, 1920, in Madison County, she was the daughter of William and Ollie Isaacs Singer, both of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Jordan was the widow of Lee Jordan, a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Richmond.
Survivors include: one daughter, Anna Hale of Richmond, one brother, Bill Singer; and four grandchildren, Douglas Hale, Lynn Hurd, Tanya Strickland, Elizabeth Doll. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Ethel English, Joy Stagner, Eva Hurt, and Christine Agee, as well as five brothers, Eugene, David, Glenn, Robert, and John Singer.
There will be no public visitation and a graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2017, at the Richmond Cemetery, with Bro. Bill Fort officiating.
