Mrs. Iva Gean Renfro, 79, of Richmond, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
She was born on June 30, 1938 to the late Chester and Lida B. Davis Cheeks and was a lifelong resident of Madison County. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: her children, Connie Buttry, Ruth Crutcher (Sammy), Ellen Gadd (David), Matthew Kelley, Greg Kelly, Judy Gullett, Donna Powell, Joe Kelley (Sue Ann), and Bertha Howard (Bobby); her siblings, Lucille Berry, Joyce Cain, Jewell Dean Conner, Shelby Cheeks, Harold Cheeks, Evelyn Rutherford, Frances Yarber (Shelby), and Jay Cheeks; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous other nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her brothers, Nelson and Neville Cheeks; one sister, Mildred Demouy; one daughter, Vickie Kelley; one grandson, Chad Gadd; and a son-in-law, Daniel Buttry.
Funeral Service 11:00 AM Friday, September 29, 2017, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, with Bro. Greg Cheeks officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilot Knob Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-9 PM Thursday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Aaron Christian, Sammy Crutcher, Robbie Howard, Ray Howard, Darell Cain, David Gadd, Johnathon Marcum and Little Matt Kelly.
