James William Moses, 89, of Richmond, son of the late Gilce Andrew Moses and the late Biddie Moses, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016, at the UK Medical Center.
Born March 11, 1927 in Crummies Creek, Kentucky, he was member of the Lexington Road Church of God. Mr. Moses was a retired minister of the Church of God (Cleveland, Tenn.) and an US Army veteran of World War II. He is preceded in death by his wife Bertha Grubbs Moses.
James William Moses is survived by three daughters, Pat Lloyd of Lexington, Joan Hust of McDaniels, Ky., and Renee Huntzinger (Kevin) of Richmond. He is also survived by two daughters-in-law, Luavadia Moses of Lexington, and Sheila Moses of Willisburg, Ky., along with eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Along with his wife, Mr. Moses was also preceded in death by two sons, James Curtis Moses and Richard Wayne Moses, six brothers and four sisters.
Service for James Moses will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Lexington Road Church of God with Phillip Payne, Glenn Daugherty and Bill Harrison officiating with burial to follow at Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, December 10, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Church.
