Edward Wayne Murphy, 72, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018.
Born in Hamilton, Ohio, on February 17, 1945, he was the son of the late Luther and Edna Hill Murphy. Eddie was a retired silk screen machinist for the Avon Products Company in Springdale, Ohio where he worked for over 30 years. He had been an avid softball player for many years, and he loved singing karaoke, bowling and golfing and loved telling jokes and making people laugh. He was very active with his grandchildren. He loved animals especially his dog Lacey. He enjoyed helping others and was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Carol (Bowling) Murphy; two sons, James (Scott Jordan) Murphy and Joey Murphy; four daughters, Jana (Doug) McQueen, Andrea Brockman, Tami Burns, Kelley Rady, a brother Doug Murphy, two sisters Patti Hibbard and Jeannie Murphy, as well as nine grandchildren Amber (Cody) Faulkner, Tyler McQueen, Hannah Murphy, Ryan Murphy, Ashley Murphy, Mikayla Needham, Michael Needham, Kaylee Harrison and Reagan Burns.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters
A Memorial Service will be 6:00 P.M on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Corinth Christian Church, 1100 Bogie Mill Road, Richmond, KY with Bro. David Evans officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. until service time Tuesday at the church.
