Jerre Willard Reams, 71, husband of Sharon Prather Reams, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond.
Jerre was born April 16, 1946, in Richmond, to the late Vernon and Sara White Reams. He was a farmer, bank teller and bus driver, he enjoyed fishing and farming his entire life and he attended First Baptist Church.
Other than his wife Sharon, he is survived by: a son, Ryan (Karen) Reams of Beattyville; a brother, Tommy (Emma) Reams of Richmond, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2017, at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Fort and Rev. John McCord officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steve Reams, Jim Reams, Steve Vanzant, Dr. Robert Palmer, Tommy Hawkins, Mike Pearson, Jim Dause and Al Whitaker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harold Rome Ray, Bryan Bogie, Robin Downs, Ted Cundiff, Larry Cottongim, Ben Reams, Jim McFarland, Dave Bolton, Billy May, Daryn Morris, Drexel Conley, Willie Downs, Barber Cattle Company, S&B Cattle Company and the gang at the Stockyards Restaurant.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 6, 2017, from, 4-8 p.m. at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
