Jimmy Clay, 71, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Baptist Health Lexington.
Jimmy, the son of the late James A. Clay and Laura Holland Clay, was born in Hazard on March 22, 1946. He retired from Central Kentucky Mixed Concrete as a diesel mechanic. He served as a member of the National Guard but most importantly loved his grandchildren.
Jimmy was united in marriage to Tamara Willis Clay on October 29, 1984 who survives.
He is also survived by three sons: Jason and Josette Kirk of Lafayette, IN, John Kirk of Corbin and James Clay of Richmond; two daughters: Rebecca Willis and Jamie Clay both of Richmond; his brother: Arthur and Shelia Clay; his sister: Alice and Larry Rhodus and seven grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:30 PM Thursday at Owsley Fork Baptist Church, 627 Owsley Fork Rd, Berea. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be after 11:30 AM Thursday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Larry Rhodus, Justin Parks, Tyler Parks, Larry Walters, Josh Marriott, Jason Kirk, James Clay and Joey Robertson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Robertson and Gary Pensol.
