Lena Frances Barnes Sears, 97, of Richmond, passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 at Madison Health & Rehabilitation in Richmond.
Born September 29, 1919, in Cynthiana, KY, she was the daughter of Herbert Franklin and Lulu Sipples Barnes, both of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Sears was the widow of Eugene Sears and a retired bookkeeper. She was a charter member of Madison Hills Christian Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #438.
She is survived by one daughter, Shelby Speakman of Richmond; two granddaughters, Linda Speakman and Brenda Presnell (David); three great-grandchildren, Kristyn, Kevin, and Kameron Presnell, as well as her nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Mrs. Sears will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 10, 2017 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Fort officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 8:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Rhodes Carr, Bobby Carr, Kevin Presnell, Kameron Presnell, David Presnell and Tyler Williamson. Honorary pallbearers will be Don and Cathy Leery, Cecil and Bobetta Bullins, Cecil and Barbara Ann McKinney, Marc Robbins and the staff of Madison Health & Rehabilitation.
