Leonis Stamper, husband of Ada Miracle Stamper of Richmond, Kentucky and the son of the late Larkin and Rachel Estes Stamper was born in Lee County, Kentucky on October 18, 1922 and departed this life in Richmond, Kentucky on September 13, 2017 at the age of 94 years, 10 months and 26 days. He built B-29 bombers during World War II, was an Assembly Line Worker for 32 years for General Motors and was a member of the Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Ada, Mr. Stamper is survived by one son, Earl Lee Stamper and wife Mava; one grandson, Shawn Lathem Stamper all of Richmond, Kentucky; and three brothers, Jim Stamper of Florida, Carlos Stamper and wife Vivian, and Thomas Stamper; and one sister, Mary Esther Birse all of Michigan..
Funeral Services were held Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Newnam Funeral Home in Beattyville, KY with Rev. William Owens officiating. Mr. Stamper was laid to rest in the Riverview Cemetery.
