Loren Wayne Richmond, age 38, died in a tragic construction accident on Monday, December 11, 2017.
Loren was born in Lexington, Kentucky and lived in this area all of his life. He worked for Scott Excavation and loved to fish.
He is survived by: his parents, Philip and Carolyn Thomas Kelley, one son, Devin Wayne (Taylor) Richmond; two sisters, Rhonda Stone and Leslie VanWinkle; step siblings, Daniel Kelley and Daphne Kelley; two grandchildren, Leander Bay Meyer and Rowan Henry Richmond; his fiancé, Amanda Thomas; eight nieces and nephews, and two great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Owen Moody and Rev. Robert Johns officiating. Burial will follow in the Morrill Cemetery in Jackson County. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be William Sowder, Tim Lainhart, Robert Thomas, James Snowden, Kevin Duncan, Ricky Anglin, Joe Carroll, and Jimmy Reffett. Honorary bearers will be Carl Kelley and Scott Thomas.
