Marjorie Burgin Kinder, 84, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at the Stanton Nursing Center, in Stanton, Ky.
Born, January 29, 1933, in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Newman and Dorothy Avis Barnes Burgin, and the widow of James Harrison Kinder. Marjorie was a retired employee of the former Westinghouse Company and had also been a bookkeeper for Southern States. She attended Anchor Baptist Church of Richmond.
Survivors include: one daughter, Gelane Callahan (Wayne) of Indiana; two brothers, Johnnie Burgin (Jean) of Richmond and Gene Burgin (Pat) of Shelbyville, Ky.; one granddaughter, Jeanna Jackson (Tim); one great-granddaughter, Jodi Ritchie; one great-grandson, Jesse Ritchie; and one special niece, Tammy Thomas (Robert).
She was also preceded in death by a two brothers, Arnold and Ricky Burgin, and a special nephew, Johnnie Burgin, Jr.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2017, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Sowders officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Ritchie, Tim Jackson, Jason Cruse, Justin Thomas, Michael Burgin, and John Burgin.
