Michelle Thompson, 41, of Berea, died Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the Compassionate Care Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a Madison County native born January 5, 1976, a machine tech with Mikron Industries Inc, member of the Baptist Faith and had been a resident of Madison County all her life.
Survivors include: her mother, Christine Carpenter Thompson; son, Trystin Campbell; step-daughter, Elysha Campbell; life partner, Chris Madden; four siblings, Bobby (Vicki) Short, Donald Short, Mary Jane Stancil, Billy (Elizabeth) Short; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Russell J. Thompson; half-brother, Rusty Thompson; two nephews, T. J. Short and Cameron Wayne Short.
Funeral service 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Middletown Baptist Church with Bro. William Dooley officiating. Burial will follow in Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at the church. Nephews will serve as pallbearers: Rodney Short, B. J. Short, Robby Short, Krys Stancil, Jonathan Burr, Matthew Trent and Mark Trent.
