Nadine Cornett, 88, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017, at Berea Health & Rehab. She was the widow of Dover Cornett.
Nadine was born on December 20, 1928, in Blackey, Kentucky. She was a retired elementary school teacher, having taught in the Richmond City School System at Mayfield Elementary for 23 years. She attended Salem Christian Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Stanley Nelson Cornett, of Columnia, SC, and Douglas Wayne Cornett (Laura), of Cocoa, FL; five grandchildren, Brent Cornett, Meghan Cornett, Jason Cornett, MSgt. Kyle Cornett, and Kristen Cornett; five great-grandchildren, Peyton, Emory, Cecelia, Audrey, and William; two brothers, Jimmy Shepherd and Richard Shepherd (Linda); and two sisters, Loraine Dawson (Richard) and Imogene Barnes.
Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. John McCord officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be 2 - 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at the Funeral Home.
