Norman's Story

Norman Farrell Thomas, 81, of Richmond, passed away Thursday morning, December 21, 2017.
Mr. Thomas, the son of the late Roscoe Clark Thomas and Laoma Richardson Thomas, was born on March 3, 1936, in Estill County, Kentucky. He first retired with 45 years of service, as a Pressman for The Richmond Register. Later, he worked for and retired from The Madison County Extension Service.
Survivors include: his wife, Betty Mae Harris Thomas; one daughter, Norma Faye Thomas-Stocker(Perry); one son, Ricky Lee Thomas (Angela); three grandchildren, Alex Lauren-Alyn-Stocker, Kaitlyn Grace Thomas and Morgan Faith Thomas; one great-grandchild, Channing Harper Vance; one brother, Lowell Thomas (Rene) and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Thomas.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017, at The First Baptist Church, 425 Eastern Bypass, Richmond, with Pastor Bill Fort officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 12 noon Saturday at the church.
The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
