Otis Franklin Pigg, age 82, of Berea, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at his home surrounded by family.
Otis was born in Madison County to the late Robert and Mabel Powell Pigg. He retired from Parker Seal and farmed after retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran and member of Silver Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by: one brother, George Curtis Pigg; two sisters, Frances Miller and Martha Todd.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Verna Ball Pigg, one brother, John Ellis (Linda) Pigg, and one sister, Gladys (Del) Borders. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017, at Silver Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Hisle officiating. Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening at the church from 6-9 pm.
Active pallbearers will be Bobby Miller, Donnie Hale, Doug Miller, Matthew Ball, Josh Ball, and Billy Pingleton. Honorary bearers will be nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Silver Creek Baptist Church.
