Ralph's Story

Ralph Cox, 90, of Waco, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at the Irvine Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Katherine Boswell Cox.
Ralph was born on August 30, 1927, and was the son of the late John and Emma Garrett Cox. He was a faithful member of the Waco Nazarene Church for over 50 years and was a retired metal fabricator for Sallee Horse Vans.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: five children, Ralph Cox, Jr. (Margie), of SC, Donald Gene Cox (Evelin), of AL, Shirley Roberts (Chub), of Waco, Kathy Rose (Jeff), of Waco, and Mark Cox (Linda), of Berea; two brothers, James and Ed Cox, of Richmond; one sister, Carolyn Lincoln (Don), of MO; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Funeral service for Ralph Cox will be held at noon on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Rev. Dan Miller officiating and Rev. Don Brown assisting. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chad Rose, Scott Roberts, Scott Dennis, James Goble, Tim Cox, Derrick Cox, Matt Woolwine, and Matt Northern. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Waco Nazarene Church.
Visitation will be from 5 - 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Waco Nazarene Church, 3921 New Irvine Road, Waco, Ky 40385.
