Ruth's Story

Ruth Lamb, 86, of Richmond, widow of Frank Lamb, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Kenwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Born in the Verda community of Harlan County Kentucky on July 26, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William Asher and Nancy Hensley Wynn. She was a self-employed seamstress and enjoyed quilting and working on crafts. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Lamb was a member of the Rosedale Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her children, Mitzi Tussey (Lloyd), John Mark Lamb (Lisa Kim), Connie Clayburn (Rick) and Michael Lamb; one brother, Marel English; two sisters, Rhoda Selvey and Sharon English; 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and one granddaughter, Traci Harris.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 21, 2017, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main Street. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
