Sterling Moberly, 93, of Richmond, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Kenwood Health Care.
He was born near Edenton in Madison Co., Ky. on July 31, 1924, the son of the late Otto and Cornelia Foster Moberly. He was a retired auto mechanic and painter, a Veteran of World War II and a member of Broadway Baptist Church. He loved collecting and shooting guns and rebuilding and riding motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth B. Simpson Moberly; 2 brothers, J. O. Moberly and Donald Moberly; 3 sisters, Juanita Anderson, Katherine Renfro and Edith Weaver.
Survivors include 5 sons, Wesley Moberly (Pat Shackelford), Bentley Moberly (Aliciann), Bradley Moberly (Cecelia Jane), Gregory Moberly (Gail) and Anthony Moberly; 2 Daughters, Amanda Moberly and Rebecca Moberly; 18 Grandchildren and 26 Great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 PM Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Anderson officiating. Burial with military honors follow in Madison Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11 AM 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
