Wanda's Story

Mrs. Wanda Wall Lawson, 74, of Richmond, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at the St. Joseph - East Hospital in Lexington.
Mrs. Lawson was born in Madison County on February 12, 1943, to Mrs. Ruth Eades Wall White and the late Marcus William Wall. She was a Master Gardener and loved growing flowers, and was also an avid bird watcher. She enjoyed singing with the Doylesville Singers, and faithfully attended Linden Street Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by: one son, Mike Whitaker (Rose); three daughters, Joan Robinson (Greg Parsons), Rebecca Hoover (Mike), and Sandy Lawson; three brothers, Donald Wall, Billy Wall (Joyce), and Randy White (Kim); one sister, Wilma Halcomb (Tommy); 10 grandchildren, Michael Whitaker II, Anthony Whitaker, Kat Broaddus, Matthew Robinson, Sarah Robinson, Christina Buscher, Trevor Hoover, Justin Roberts, Joseph Roberts, and Savannah Blanton; 4 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2017, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, with Rev. Michael Barnes and Rev. Paul Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in the Doylesville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Matt Robinson, Trevor Hoover, Michael Whitaker II, Anthony Whitaker, Dylan Broaddus, and Gavin Broaddus.
