William R. Renfro, 82, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday evening, October 25, 2016, at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond.
He was born July 15, 1934, in Madison County, to James Luther Renfro and Winnie Bringar, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a retired from Sherwin Williams Paint Factory and was a devoted Christian.
Survivors include: his wife, Florine Jones Renfro of Richmond; son, James Michael (Lori) Renfro of Richmond; one granddaughter, Tara Renee Renfro, who was the apple of his eye; two brothers, Charles Renfro of Richmond, and Bobby Renfro of Harrodsburg; and a sister, Patricia Cain of Nicholasville. He was preceded in death by: a son, William Harold Renfro; two sisters, Betty Scott and Joy Hoskins Speakman; and four brothers, Hoover, Everett, Bert, and Jim Renfro.
Funeral service for Mr. Renfro will be conducted on Saturday, October 29, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Garry Barnes, Tommy Lawson, Dewayne Tevis, Ricky Hoskins, Earl Renfro and Eddie Renfro. Honorary will be Leroy and Guy Jones, Leslie Renfro and Derek Smith. who precedes him in death.
