Amy's Story

Amy Marie Land Agee, 98, the widow of Robert Agee, passed away Friday April 21, 2017, at Baptist Health in Richmond.
Amy was born February 23, 1919, in Poosey Ridge, and was the daughter of the late Shirley Walker and Iva Elizabeth Duncan Land. She was a farmer and a member of Salem Christian Church. Amy was a tremendously talented quilter and seamstress. She enjoyed cooking for her family and taking care of her cows.
In addition to her parents, Amy was preceded in death by eight brothers, Herbert, Burdett, Virgil, Russell, Gilbert, Elmer, Clyde, and Wilburn Land, and a sister, Elsie Land Moberly.
Survivors include: two daughters, Shirley Carol Agee (Gene) Barrier, of Berea, and Barbara Ann Agee Campbell, of Richmond; four grandchildren, Billy D. Campbell, Christopher Campbell and Jennifer Campbell (Gary) Parker, all of Richmond, and James A. Barrier (Tamera), of Federal Way, Wash.; and great-grandchildren, Amy Campbell, of Lexington, Mariah Campbell (Donald) Winstead of Richmond, Dylan Campbell, of Richmond, Lindsey Barnett, of Berea, and Mason Barrier, Ethan Barrier, Chloe Barrier and Sadie Barrier, all of Federal Way, Wash.
Funeral service for Amy, will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bill Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell.
Pallbearers will be Mason Barrier, Ethan Barrier, Dylan Campbell, Scott Barnthouse, Randall Winkler, Jr., and Jimmy Collins.
