Billy's Story

Billy "Bill" Eugene Cain, 74, of Richmond, Indiana, passed peacefully in his home Wednesday March 22, 2017. Bill was born in Richmond, Kentucky, March 3, 1943 to Boin and Carrie (Alexander) Cain.
Bill is survived by his three children, daughters Carrie Freeman (Douglas Newton) of Parker City, IN, Billie Jean (Bret) Copeland and son Robert Cain of Wapakoneta, OH, seven grandchildren; Ashley (Brandon) Fulton, Baron Freeman (Ashley Moistner), Angis Freeman, Wesley (Lesley) Freeman, Ethan Freeman, Kayla (Katie Kohler) Graw, and Billy Jack Copeland, three great-grandsons. Other survivors include seven brothers Bob Cain, David Cain, Don Cain, Doug Cain, Mike Cain, Paul Cain and Darrell Cain, five sisters Ruby Corya, Ann Meredith, Linda Wright, Virginia Meyers, Teresa Williams and many nieces, nephews, many more grand nieces and nephews, and extended family. He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to all.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife Linda Cain, parents, Boin Cain, Carrie (Alexander) Cain and step-mother Janie (Hornsby) Cain, three brothers McCelon Cain, Albert Cain, Wayne Cain and two sisters Brenda Cain and Mayme Schroeder.
Bill enjoyed time with family, playing cards with friends, traveling, watching westerns and enjoying a cold beverage. Before his illness he especially enjoyed card playing and socializing with friends at Hide-a-way, Inn-zone and Jus-1-more. He retired from Mongers Allied Van line after years of over the road truck driving.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday March 27, 2017 at Stegall-Berheide-Orr Funeral Home with Tobby Smith officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
