Cordia's Story

C. Jane Taylor, 69, of Richmond, widow of James Taylor, passed away Thursday evening, April 6, 2017, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond.
She was born in Madison County on April 16, 1947, to the late Walter and Dixie Sparks. She was a great cook and as an avid UK Wildcat Basketball Fan. Most importantly, she will be remembered as "Mamaw" to everyone who knew her.
Survivors include: two sons, James Reed Taylor, Jr., and Brandon Scott Taylor; five daughters, Vicki Grant (Dean Alexander), Madonna Cain (Darrell), Robin Renfro (Danny), Laura Bailey (Allen), and Taylor Romans (Zach); two grandchildren, Michael Reed Taylor (Jessica Bishop), and Dakota Lynch (Jennifer Harkins); two great-grandchildren, who she loved dearly, Nora Romans, and Edon Romans, as well as two more on the way; two brothers, Barry Sparks and Walter "Jr" Sparks (Martha); as well as many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Diehl.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2017, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., with Pastor Butch Payne officiating. Burial will follow at the Madison County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Sunday, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Michael Taylor, Dakota Lynch, Zach Romans, Darrell Cain, Danny Renfro and Allen Bailey.
