Jeffery Lee Curry, 50, better known as Jeff, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond.
Jeff was born in Madison County on July 17, 1966, to Shirley Judd Curry and the late James Curry. He was graduate of Madison Central, and went on to earn his Bachelor degree from Eastern Kentucky University. Jeff was employed by Eastern Kentucky University as a specialist in the Multimedia area. He will be remembered as a sweet, gentle man that would always lend a hand to those in need. Jeff enjoyed spending time outside and looked forward to spending evenings outdoors. He also loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to blues. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, Jeff is survived by: two daughters, Karyn Curry & Hannah Spillman (Justin); his grandchildren, Brayden & Kasey; his partner, Kim Hammitt, and her children, Kaliegh and Karak Hammitt; three brothers, Jimmy Curry, Chris Curry, and Mike Sisman; two sisters, Julie Guthrie and Heather Moncrief; his two dogs, Titus & Murphy; as well as a host of family and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Todd Edmister, Clint McMaine, Aaron Francis, Aaron Boyd, Tommy Hammitt and Teddy Elliott.
