Linda's Story

Mrs. Linda Carol Worrell Stanifer, 68, of Richmond, departed this life on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington.
She was born in Jefferson County on October 28, 1948, to the late Cecil and Christine Carter Worrell. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Nana, Aunt, and Friend. Linda loved her family dearly and anyone who met and knew Linda will always remember her kindness, thoughtfulness and never ending sweet spirit. Many people will remember Linda from when she was the owner and operator for the Beautiful-U-Fitness Center.
Linda was a lifelong, faithful member of the Flatwoods Christian Church in Waco, where she placed her faith in Christ, was baptized, and later married to the love of her life. She was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship at Flatwoods (CWF) which involve faithful Christian women that are an integral part of doing the Lords work for the church. Linda loved music, singing, cooking, sewing, flowers, decorating, traveling and camping.
Linda is survived by: her husband of 48 years, Chris Stanifer; her two daughters, Kim Boggs (Gary), and Katrina Stanifer; four grandchildren, Drew Boggs, Taylor Zale, Brooklynn Zale, and Connor Zale; a nephew and niece, Derrick and Stacey Stanifer; a brother-in-law, Charles Stanifer; three great-nieces; as well as many other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws, Cecil & Hazel Stanifer.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Richmond Cemetery in Section K, with Bro. Tim Jones officiating.
The family will receive friends and family for a time of visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Cemetery.
